The new Bowdoinham Engine 1 was utilized as the primary attack engine and appears to be operating well. It is with deep regret that we advise you that Harold Frey, 46, of the Sandown, NH Fire Department died during ice rescue training. Investigators said he appeared to have suffered a heart attack. Frey had been a longtime firefighter but has only been with the Sandown Fire Department for a few months. As always our sincere condolences.

]]>Maine Volunteer FF LODD 01.03.2011http://bowdoinhamfire.com/home/2011/1/4/maine-volunteer-ff-lodd-01032011.htmlChristopher Read2011-01-04T15:17:16ZIt is with deep regret that we advise you that a Volunteer Firefighter died in the Line of Duty after a single car accident in Shapleigh (Maine) last night. 58 year old Firefighter David Remington of Acton was responding to a rescue call last night around 2200 Hours when he lost control of his truck. He was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. FF Remington lived in Acton and was a Firefighter for the town of Shapleigh.
